JR Ferguson
Founder, SystemX · Lubbock, TX
JR Ferguson is the founder of SystemX and of 806 AI News, based in Lubbock, Texas. 806 AI News is a SystemX project.
Ferguson spent over two decades building and operating service businesses, including J Ferg Roofing, which reached the top 20 roofing contractors nationally, before turning to using AI inside real operating environments: software, business operations, finance, communications, and decision support.
That path wasn’t a straight line; SystemX itself grew out of lessons from a business that got bigger than he could control, not an uninterrupted success story.
SystemX builds human-first infrastructure for operating in the AI economy; 806 AI News helps people understand that economy.
Ferguson was a featured Local AI Authority on Lubbock Lights.
