U.S. utility-scale battery storage has grown at an average of 70% a year for three straight years, per the U.S. Energy Information Administration — much of it in Texas, soaking up cheap midday solar and selling it back at the evening peak.
For the 806: Batteries are the one part of the grid buildout that goes up in months, not years — and somebody has to site, wire, and maintain every container. That's electrical and controls work landing now, not in 2030.
